Isn’t it ironic?
To call innovative a series of pictures involving shadows- already used by the ancient greeks as a preface to painting- reflexes; some tourists in front of Michelangelo’s work in Rome- funnily non of them seem to be aware of it-, a police ‘do not cross’ bandage that “wraps” an old Roman building and some blonde in short skirt; a huge swan- something scares me about this fairy tale- in the middle of nowhere, a couple of guys in a tunnel while a girl pushes the wall or is she holding it?; it would not fulfill Moma’s criteria neither the Tate’s idea of vanguard. But to me those concepts used as contemporary is exactly what makes it quite experimental.
